  • From November to April

Known as the dry season, this is the best time for enjoying the paradisiacal beaches, as well as for trekking to visit the ethnic groups living in the jungles.

December through March is the best time to see Humpback Whales and dolphins in the Pacific and March through April brings the impressive Whale Shark to the Atlantic Coast (Caribbean).

This is also the best time to experience the arrival of sea turtles for nesting, another of the great privileges that Central America offers, where you can witness the laying of the Baula on the Pacific and the Parrot Beak turtle on the Caribbean side.

  • From May to October

Although this is the beginning of the rainy season, the temperature is still warm, making it an excellent time to visit the colonial cities and archaeological parks.

July through November sees the arrival of Humpback Whales and Dolphins in the Pacific and September and October give you a chance to see (and swim with) the largest fish in the sea, the Whale Shark off the Atlantic or Caribbean coast.

This season is especially good to appreciate and witness the “arrivado” or arrival and nesting of the Green and Carey turtles on the Caribbean side.
