Two of the most important and recognized museums in El Salvador are within the Zone, those are the David J. Guzmán Museum of Anthropology (MUNA) and the Museum of Art of El Salvador (MARTE). In the MUNA you can explore the pre-Hispanic past, the colonial miscegenation and the identity of El Salvador.
