Day 1

Arrival in Managua. Transfer to Granada. Lodging in Granada.

Day 2

Boat tour of the Granada Islets. City Tour of Granada, including La Merced Church, Casa de los Tres Mundos, San Francisco Convent. Lunch. Return to the hotel. Lodging in Granada. (B, L)

Day 3

Transfer to León. On the way, stop at the Masaya Volcano and Masaya handicraft market. Lodging in León. (B, L)

Day 4

Transfer to Potosí Port, Gulf of Fonseca boat crossing. Transfer to the hotel. Lodging in El Salvador. (B, L)

Day 5

Community tour with rural school and Sea turtles. Transfer to Suchitoto. Lodging in Suchitoto. (B, L)

Day 6

Suchitoto colonial town tour. Indigo workshop. Lodging in Suchitoto (B, L)

Day 7

Transfer to La Antigua Guatemala. Free afternoon. Lodging in La Antigua Guatemala. (B, L)

Activities included

All the activities and tickets as detailed in the itinerary: tour of the Islets, Granada city tour, Masaya Volcano, boat crossing of the Gulf of Fonseca between Nicaragua and El Salvador, tour and visit to the communities, tour of sea turtles, tour of the colonial town of Suchitoto, indigo workshop, tour of the City of La Antigua Guatemala.

  • Crossing of the Gulf of Fonseca may depend on weather conditions.
  • *For day 4: León, Fonseca Gulf crossing and Suchitoto: Less than 10 PAX done in regular/shared service, lunch and guide is not included.  For this, package has to start on a Tuesday or Saturday.  More than 10 PAX, private services with lunch and guide included.  Package may start any day.
  • We may change itinerary due to weather or situations beyond our control.
  • Supplement may apply for High Season: Holy Week and from December 1 to January 15.
  • La Antigua Guatemala tour is a walking tour.
  • The indigo process is seasonal: June to November. The Indigo Workshop (dye) can be done all year.
  • All breakfasts (8) and lunches (7).

Valid passport.

Depending on the country of origin of the tourist, a visa may be needed. For the visa, the tourist must check if the country of origin requires a visa. In addition to that, the tourist card is necessary. This card can be purchased at the airport upon arrival for $10 USD, and is valid for 90 days.

Departure Taxes.

All airlines charge a fee of $ 37.13 USD. This tax is usually included on the price of the plane ticket. If the departure from the country is by land or sea, the rate varies depending on the area.
