Day 1

Arrival. A representative of ACTUAR will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to the hotel in San José for accommodations.

 

Day 2

A representative of ACTUAR will pick you up for transfer to the Arenal area. Accommodations in La Fortuna. Tour of Arenal Volcano, including visit to hot springs and dinner.

 

Day 3

Tour of Rio Celeste, lunch, and accommodations in La Fortuna.

Day 4

Transfer from Arenal to Santa Rosa de Pocosol. Guide/driver service for two days. Homestay accommodations in the Juanilama rural tourism project. Tour of the reserve and La Leona waterfall.

 

Day 5

Tour of cheeses and dairy, transfer to Los Chiles border crossing. Meet the Nicaraguan guide. River transportation, local history, and chocolate tour. Accommodations in El Castillo community.

Day 6

Visit to the Indio Maiz Reserve, observation of flora and fauna of the San Juan River. Accommodations in the El Castillo community.

Day 7

Transfer to Granada, city and history tour, night visit to the Masaya Volcano.

Day 8

Kayaking in the Granada Islets, visit to Pueblos Blancos (ceramics and craft market). Accommodations in Granada.

Day 9

Land transfer to San Jorge and ferry to Ometepe. Tour of the Pre-Columbian Museum and relaxation in Ojo de Agua Springs. Accommodations in Ometepe.

Day 10

Hike to the Maderas Volcano and the San Ramón waterfall. Accommodations in Ometepe.

Day 11

Transfer by ferry to San Jorge. Transfer by land to Peñas Blancas border crossing. Private transfer from Peñas Blancas to Tamarindo. Accommodations at a beach hotel.

Day 12 y 13

Accommodation in Beach Hotel.

Day 14

Private transfer from Tamarindo to San José. Accommodations in San José.

Day 15

Departure. End of services.
