The tourism sector in Nicaragua continues to grow and the authorities expect to reach revenues generated by the sector of more than USD 840 million by 2024.
The director of the Nicaraguan Institute of Tourism (INTUR), Anasha Campbel, said her goal is to match the figures of 2017, considered the best year in the history of tourism in the Central American country.
Projections for 2024, in terms of arrivals, are between 1.2 and 1.3 million visitors. Figures for 2023 also exceeded targets, reaching 1,086,726 tourists, 32% more than in 2022.
